NBCDI exists to improve and protect the quality of life of all children and families,
specifically those of African American descent. By providing hands-on experience,
NBCDI effectively promotes positive change in the health, welfare, and educational
needs of those children and their families.

established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 7, 1997 that subscribes to and
follows the goals and principles of the National Black Child Development Institute.

BCDI will assess public policies that impact African American children and families
in Milwaukee, and recommend changes for the betterment of those children.
