Dr. Dora Clayton-Jones has been a member of the National Black Child Development Institute since 2011. She joined the BCDI - Milwaukee Affiliate board of directors in 2014 and serves on the committee for the State-Based State of the Black Child Report 2014-Wisconsin.
Dr. Clayton-Jones has served children and adolescents in the community by providing health care services in hospital, school-based clinic, and urgent care clinic settings. She has also served as a nurse educator to associate degree, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing students. Her professional experience and expertise are in the areas of child and adolescent health, growth and development, spiritual development, and resiliency in children.
Dr. Clayton-Jones is a Nationally Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has been serving children and families for over 20 years as a nurse practitioner and over 10 years as an educator. She enjoys empowering children and families, mentoring, and volunteering in the community. Dr. Clayton-Jones is an Arthur J. Schmitt Leadership Fellow and was recognized by Children's Hospital of Wisconsin as a nurse of excellence.
