The Milwaukee County Healthy Start Program invites the Milwaukee community to join its Community Action Network (CAN) at two virtual community meetings to learn about the program's efforts to combat perinatal health disparities in Milwaukee over the last year.

The Milwaukee Healthy Start Program is entering its second of a five year federal grant implementation designed to respond to poor maternal-child health outcomes among African American families in Milwaukee who experience significantly higher rates of infant death. The program targets African American women and infants ages 0-18 months who are at the highest risk for poor maternal-child birth outcomes, and also engages and supports fathers.
