Tammy Saffold has been engaged, working in Early Care and Education for over 35 years. She began her career serving as a director in her family's owned and operated childhood program, Grays Child Development Center. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and completed her undergraduate studies in Education, and later began post graduate studies in leadership through Marquette University. As opportunities afforded themselves, Mrs. Saffold enrolled in the first class of the state of Wisconsin's Administrator's Credential in 1999 after receiving the Rosemary Troi Baker Scholarship; with completion in 2000 from UWM.
Mrs. Saffold has served as a Child Development Associate (CDA) Advisor, Accreditation Validator for National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a trainer for the state of Wisconsin, Consultant for Youngstar, and facilitated trainings and coordination of a Health and Wellness project in collaboration with Walmart/NBCDI/and several local programs.
Mrs. Saffold has served on Black Child Development's local affiliate board for over 18 years, and has served as chair for several committees and Secretary. Tammy enjoys her work in early care and education, and has worked with several programs in the city, as director. She currently serves as a Youngstar Technical Advisor at 4C for Children.
